    About

The Supermarket is a Toronto restaurant, bar and live venue located in the city's historic Kensington Market area. The bar has a partially separate stage/venue area in the back that is not cut off from the restaurant/bar area.

The Supermarket prefers to host "quieter" rock, indie, pop, folk and electronic music, this is to limit the noise for the restaurant patrons in the front section. There is only one entrance to the venue, and not everyone entering is headed to the venue section. This can cause some confusion with charging cover so a knowledgeable door person is essential.

Line checks can be done before the event starts, but do to the "dinner crown" in the restaurant it is recommended to set up an earlier, afternoon sound check time, which has to be set up in advance with the sound tech/venue.
