Welcome to IndieHint.com!
IndieHint is an ongoing project to collect and document everything we can in the vast world of entertainment. This site is a free online interactive database of industry professionals, venues, studios, companies and services in the various facets of the entertainment industry. Designed to be used by artists of all kinds (musicians, visual artists, actors/filmmakers etc...) our goal is to create a comprehensive resource to help educate, provide clarity and help eliminate the exploitation of professional artists.
Here's how it works: content on this site is created and maintained by the worldwide community of professional musicians. Users can create new articles or comment on and edit existing ones for everything from venues, studios and industry professionals to festivals, online services and many other categories. Everything on IndieHint is free to use and there are no membership fees or paid accounts. You don't have to have an account to browse the site, but you do need one to contribute, comment or edit anything.
This site was created to help today's independent artists and musicians navigate the increasingly crowded landscape of the music industry. More importantly, we are trying to help people share their past experiences with venues, producers, promoters, agents and festivals in order to help other artists make the right decisions, and avoid making the wrong ones.
